PHLEGM v8 SuperPET Linux Build-System Checkpoint
Timestamp: 2026-1007-1238-8430 (America/Phoenix)

Captured milestone:
  - Preserves all prior SuperPET/MC6809 Extended Validation work.
  - Linux x86/x86_64 architecture tokens are normalized correctly for FreeBASIC discovery/install.
  - FreeBASIC discovery survives fresh processes by recursively finding local installed compilers.
  - PowerShell toolchain selection is OS-aware: Windows ZIP on Windows, Linux tar.gz on Linux.
  - Linux PowerShell extraction/installation and executable discovery are supported.
  - PHLEGM-Linux-Compiler.sh recursively discovers a locally installed pwsh executable.
  - Installer copies remain byte-for-byte identical.
  - Linux launcher bash syntax validation PASS.
  - Text newline validation for changed files PASS: .sh LF; PowerShell CRLF.

Known remaining Linux blocker:
  - PHLEGM.bas/host layer still includes Windows-specific APIs/libraries unconditionally.
  - Native Linux host abstraction still requires implementation/validation.
  - Native FreeBASIC compile has not yet been executed in this environment because fbc/pwsh are not installed locally and external toolchain retrieval is restricted.
